Ok i will openly admit i am slow... i guess you mean new driver licenses?? It is insane because even with a picture people are still getting their identity stolen! How do they expect to know if someone stole a wallet with the license from someone they killed and the car along with it when the license has no visual verification of the identity of the person holding it? Seriously that is stupid.

yeah when they hit a certain age they have the option of just having it renewed with no photo instead of going down there and getting a picture done.. and thats true i never thought about the accident thing.

Wow, looks like it's getting easier to steal someone's driving license and assume their identity. Cuts down the trouble they used to go through when creating fake identity cards or driving licences!

I can never understand why they are allowing a drivers license but without a picture. As you had said, the card has no meaning because anybody can claim he is the owner of the card. The police couldn't tell whether the owner of the card is telling the truth or he is lying. What country are you in? Are your government starting to implement this type of drivers license card to the citizens? Well, I think this could create a great hassle in the nearest time. I feel you think the same too.

It's not just driver's licenses. With all the concern about identity theft these days you'd think that people would make it harder but that's not the case. For example... I signed up with one of those free trial, get your credit report sites and they wanted me to verify my identity using an account number for a credit card I never had. I got approved for it but it got lost in the mail so the company canceled it. Anyway, I didn't have the card, therefore didn't have the account number and couldn't verify that it was me requesting the information. But sure enough, when my 30 day free trial was over, they charged my bank account. Didn't know it was me using the account, but they didn't hesitate to charge it. And these are the people who are supposed to be helping prevent stuff like that from happening.

any credit check or debt relief places seem to do more harm than good.. some how when my best friend had gone to see a debt relief place for consolidation it hit her credit that she went to find out about it and hurt her credit score

I know, there should be a picture, it's really one of the only ways to prove it's you.
