My husband and I are applying a migration to Canada with the help of my aunt. Hopefully the Canadian Immigration will grant our request. I'm having a trouble that I might have Culture Shock.

Culture shock is an issue but since you have your aunt there then no worries since she will be your support. Don't forget you have your husband who will be with you =) So that will make the transition into a new enviroment much easier since he is someone you are used to and someone you love and loves you in return ;) Focus an meeting the immigration requirements for Canada for now and everything else will come along fine =) I have been discriminated against and i was born in the states because of my religion and nationality. However, there are good and bad people where ever we go don't you think? So don't fret about it, if you go there with the mind set that you will get discriminated against then if you do it will be much worse for you. People in general are more understanding and accepting than we give them credit for;) Keep in mind you are going to Canada, not America, different country different people.

What you've been discriminated? I'm afraid that might happen tome someday. White people don't like Morena people or brown skin like me. From Philippines. Maybe I will just pray that me and my family will have a better life there. We are not finish yet with the requirements. Hoping that our request will be granted by God's grace with us.

Yes i have been but only by those that were ignorant, i had those situations as it is normal since you will meet close minded people. In some of those situations fellow students, fellow people in general have at times come to the person being hateful and told them to simply BACK OFF... you will find people of all different kinds hopefully those that you come across will be open minded =) The important thing is to stay calm, yelling or shouting or even cursing (and GOD knows how badly i wanted to do that) will only make the situation worse... so just be your good self and ignore them.

Don't worry about Culture Shock. What I would do is read up about the different customs and such. That way when you get there you have somewhat of a idea what it is like there. You will come into contact of all different kinds of people there. Some accepting some not. Don't let the ones that don't accept get you down. Those kinds of people are not worth worring about. Just be yourself and you will be fine. It will be a unique and great experience for you. I have come across Culture differences myself. I live in America and have been to Turkey. There lifestyle is different than the states but the people are great as will the people in Canada be. I wish you luck in your move and you will have a great experience there.
