I wake at 4 i the morning and go to bed at 10 in the night. I do wake up once in the middle of the night to visit the toilet.I don't say that my schedule is too hectic all the day but I don't have time to have a nap for an hour or so.I'm 36 and have two kids aged 6 and 3. To be frank, I like to have an undisturbed sleep of a minimum 8 hours which I used to have 10 years back that is before marriage. Is it my psychological feeling that I'm not having sufficient sleep or is it really appropriate to my age, the duration of sleep.

It is purely psychological. It’s a fact that no matter how much we try, most Indian women with kids and families don’t get uninterrupted 8hrs sleep, so the more you worry the more you make yourself sick. Homemakers may take an afternoon nap but for office going women, there’s no rest in the day too. its OK coz 30 to 50 is the peak performance time for the body, provided you give if nutritious food and don’t worry too much over everything. Before long you will see that the kids are grown and gone and you have all the time in the world. I am 36 too with a 9yrs old son. I wake up at 5am and go to bed at 12pm. In between I look after home, go to office and take care of my son’s education too. I wont send him for tuitions as long as I can guide him myself. If I can, you can do it too. this is the time to enjoy life!

Yes, of course, you are most welcome. Mylot is like an oasis and the friends like you are the much-needed water for a stressed out person like me. I love interacting with so many people here, it would never have been possible for me to ‘socialize’ otherwise…as you understand, my busy schedule hardly leaves any time to go out and mix with friends!

it is true that you are not getting sufficient sleep. with kids and family most women lose on sleep. so try to work less and also take some sleep.

as per the schedule you have written here it is good. The sleeping hours should between six to eight hours a day. That is the ideal time for a person. Above eight hours it is not good for health. But LOL i am sleeping above eight hours a day. And gaining weight and increasing risk to my health. Hope you follow the same schedule in the coming days. You are having the sufficient sleep. Before goin to sleep have a nice bath and go to sleep. You will get a awesome sleep

A sound sleep of 6-8 hours is sufficient for maintaining a good health. So I think you need not worry at all.
