Well there ought to be some reason for this end of world.Is a meteor going to hit earth?Or will it be because of a nuclear bomb?I think that all these so called end of the world dates are nonsense.Believe me there are going to be many end of the world dates after 20 12 2012

World end in 2012 According to the bible, no man knows the time or the hour when God shall return. So in answer to ur question no I do not believe it will be the end of this world. Perhaps the end of this monetary system that we are now living under but no, not the end of the world. I tend to view the world as a big round scope of space and it shall continue to advance forever and ever!
