Warning on Screen

Below is warning on my screen when I was start my computer. "SMART Failure Predicted on Hard Disk 0: ST98823AS-(S1) WARNING: Immediately back-up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent. Press F1 to Continue." I need more explanation about this warning except replace my hard disk as state there. Anybody on MyLot can explain it for me, please? Thanks in advance for your help. Be blessed...

Even if the BIOS had difficult detect, I fear that this is a hardware problem...when you got it to recognize and take your bin evil patience to try to make a backup...take a low-level formatting and reinstall your OS...but I think it remains to live longer!

SMART is one of the disk checking system that was available today. It's has the capability to check and to predict the lifetime of our hard disk drive. I'm quite sure that your computer have a software to do the SMART checking. Based on the message, I think the software already detected some problem on your hard disk and it seems like it reach the critical alarm. You better to act fast, backup your things inside there and get a new hard drive ready. Because, you can trust the warning very well.
