Many people count black cats as a bad omen & don't dare go near it, but I should tell you that black cats are staying in our house from past two generations (mother & her daughter), but we have not faced any problems or bad omens. In fact, our times are going on good. What do you think?

I like black cats, in fact I like all cats no matter how they look. So I am not concerned if I see a black cat. And if something bad happens to those people it is most probably their fault and not the cat's. It could be that they are simply thinking inside them selfs that they walked past a black cat and that they simply will have something bad happen to them so they end up with something bad happening to them. Even if I don't believe in that. Believing this practically the same as in believing that if you break a mirror that you will have 10 years of misfortune, etc.

I don't believe in these superstious beliefs to be honest, I love all cats. I have always wanted a cat but my family are not cat lovers, my mums allergic. I love black cats, it's great things are going good for you, I hope your good fortune continues.

I used to be terribly superstitious of black cats and would consider it bad luck to see or be near one. But after doing a bit of reading I actually found that mostly a black cat is considered to many to be a blessing especially if it crosses your path. So if a black cat was to walk in front of me across the path it is good luck, so I am not really sure! I think there is something nice about a pure black cat and they are not something that I see a lot of, mostly they are black but with a tiny patch of colour somewhere on them but they usually have the most gorgeous green eyes.

No cat of any color is lucky or unlucky; they are just cats. We had a black cat named Lady Claire who allowed us to call her Clare. She was an elegant lady and very lovely. She thought that bad luck was a myth; we discussed it often. She's gone now and deeply missed. So, no, black cats are not bad luck. All cats are glorious.

i think all cats look alike and act the same no matter what color they are. my current male cat reminds me of my late female cat. they look alike and act similar, but one is orange and the other is gray. those people who say stuff like black cat are bad luck are retards. they are probably the same people who say red panties are satan's underwear. where do people get this crap from?

Actually Love I love black cats. And I don't think that they are a bad omen. We actually have a wonderful black Cat and he's such a sweety. The best behaving and loving cat. We've had him for not 6 years and he's just a sweetheart. I couldn't imagine life without him.

I have upwards of 20 black cats. I feel they bring me luck. My problem is they all look basically the same, so I have to pick one up to tell who it is. These started out feral, but are now friends. I wouldn't give them up for the world.
