For the life of me I cannot see the third dimension when I am looking through 3d glasses. My depth perspective seems to be out of sync, apparently that part of my brian is not functioning.I even have trouble estimating distances, one time I nearly hurt myself jumping from one side of a rock face to the other because I underestimated the distance. You may be familiar with superimposed images where you are able to distinguish between the individual images if you turn the card at a particular angle.

I have similar problems. I had a "lazy eye" that went untreated when I was very young, so my eyes do not always focus together. I can't see correctly through 3D glasses and also have some problems with depth perception, probably because the dominant eye does not want to work with the "lazy" one, even though my vision is corrected with glasses. I can't catch a ball to save my own life, either. When I am extremely tired I even start seeing double! It may not be your brain at all that is the problem, it probably starts with your eyes' inability to focus together.
