What is your favorite type of Soul Food?

When I lived in Florida I use to go to 'Morrison's Cafeteria' after church almost every Sunday where they had great Southern style dishes. My favorites ended up being maccaroni and cheese (the baked kind), a cheese and spinach casserole, mashed potatoes, fried ocra and fried green tomoatoes and rolls! I am just wondering what is that soul food you mean? but the food I like is broiled fish, vegetables salad and sweet and sour fish with rice. I like that and I miss that kind of food. i can not just make like that taste here in the place where i am now.

Oh, my I do not define Soul food that way. to me it is Greens, Turnips, Ham Hocks, Pig Feet, Okra, Cornbread, chittlings, etc. Fried Chicken, Mac N cheese, Sweet Corn, that is Southern food. and oh my soo good..

I love fried chicken and macaroni and cheese, too. I also like fudge and creamy homemade candies.
