Can you live without a computer for a month? 2 months?

If you were told that you could not use the computer at work or at home for a month, could you do it? How long do you think you can survive and function without a computer?

Definitely I can't live without a computer at work, coz I'm a programmer, without computer for a month, I don't know what I can do at work, unless I don't need to work! At home, I can live without a computer, coz I still have other things to do, watching TV, reading books, cleaning my house, playing with my dog...

If you were to ask me that question years ago, I probably could tell you that, yes, I could go without a computer for two months or longer. But we're in a different age and time now. We rely so much on computers. I use it at work, at school, at home, for leisure, for bill paying, for communication, for research, et cetera. And, of course, for MyLot! I've gone several days without it before - when I was out of town and the place had no internet access...I HAD the computer, but no internet access! I guess that's the main thing - Internet access. A computer without Internet access is pretty much having no computer at all.

Two months shouldn't be a problem for me. I have been surviving for 20 years until I got my own computer when I was in college. I would be a break for me, because all my work is heavily reliable on computer. I feel my eyes are blurred and some slight dizziness, after watching the monitor screens for hours. At home, I will stick to Mylot and this add more stress to my eyes. So, without a computer, my vision might be back to normal. However, I need to be online once a while, to keep myself updated with the online news. Preferably not more than 3 months should be fine for me. It's also the Mylot active limit LoL.

Hey, I lived for over 40 years without a computer. But I know where your question is coming from. We are so used to the computer and internet in our lives, it may be hard to let go, even temporarily. For god sake, I even always keep my laptop fully charged, so if there is a power failure, I can at least go on for a short time. That is how much the addiction is out there.
