Can anyone recommend a good mascara for me.I haven't been too pleased with my mascara purchases recently. The last one i bought was cover girl volume exact and i hate it.It doesn't even look like i am wearing mascara.Any help would be appreciated.

I am very fair haired, and that includes my eyelashes. There are two brands that I will choose above all others, both in the "black/brown" shade. Ideally, my first choice is from "avon". I really like their "astonishing lengths" mascara. It doesn't clump, and I feel it makes my scarce lashes really stand out. If I need mascara before I remember to contact my avon representative, I will get "cover girl" "great lash" mascara... you know the one.. .it's in the pink container with the green lid. It's been around for decades, and there's a good reason for that. I love the fact that it's also one of the least expensive mascaras out there too.

The best mascara I ever used was from Mary Kay. Its a little expensive, but it really makes your lashes look great!!

I think Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara is really good. Doesn't clump, and will add more vlume to your lashes, but if you're going swimming, use the Mary Kay Waterproof Mascara.

I like Maybelline great lash. The container is pink. Someone gave it to me and it has lasted a long time. I know what you mean about the cover girl volume I didn't like that one either.

I like and am currently using Maybelines Great Lash. It's the one thats pink with the green top. I'm always buying and trying other mascara's, but I always end up going back to that one. It just lengthens my short lashes and doesn't clump on me. I usually use 2-3 coats. But I don't let it dry in between, otherwise you get clumps. I have been using it for years and it never let me down. : )

if youre looking for thickness you will have to use some mascara that's been opened and closed alot. it basically dries it out a little bit and then it goes on thicker.

After reading your responses, it looks like all of my suggestions are covered! LOL HOWEVER, I took a beauty class once and learned that the COLOR of the mascara you wear actually makes the biggest difference... Perhaps you could use these tips to resolve your mascara problem... *For lashes to look thicker and fuller, use BROWN shades of mascara. *For lashes to look longer, us BLACK shades of mascara. PLUS, when you apply mascara, you can actually apply it to the tops of your lashes first... this seemed totally backwards to me when I first learned it. If your lashes are light in color, it is important to apply mascara to BOTH sides of your lashes... started with the top (you know, with your eye half closed & a downward motion from your lid to the tips of your lashes), then applying to the bottom side... (most people only apply ONLY to the 'bottom side'). Hopefully you find a tip that works!!! Good Luck to you!
