This time of year I often get very nice things in the mail and then am asked for a donation. This really upsets me, I don't like my guilt button being pushed. What do you do about this?

Bah, if they have the funds to go around mailing things to people like free calenders and little mailing address stickers, I'm sure they have enough funding to do whatever they should be doing. Or maybe not, but you really just can't donate to every single one, and you should be free to decide that for yourself.

I'm with Sheepie on this one. If they used the money they spend on the "gifts" for their own use they'd be better off. I hate the ones that tell you this is a Native American tradition of "gifting" and try to make you feel guilty if you don't "gift" them in return. Bunch o' BS if you ask me. There are other ways to raise funds. I have a whole drawer full of address labels and special occasion cards. I have my favorite charities that I give to when I can and I ignore the rest.
