The best thing a mother can do to be a good mother is to love her child, and let that child know every day that she loves him/her. You teach them right from wrong, you teach them morals, and how to be a good person in general. Teach them that people are people, no matter the color of skin, to look past the color and see the person for who they are. Be there to hold their hand when they have problems. Be the kind of mom that will let them have their own thoughts and opinions, and teach them to respect others' opinions, even if they don't agree. Teach them to respect others for their differences, and teach them to respect themselves.

How old is your child now? Is she of he still a baby or grown up? Anyway no matter how is the age. Being a good mother is not easy to do(according to my opinion) because it brings a lot of responsibility from the new born up to their adulthood. I think it would be natural thing for every mother to feel anxious when she is having her first baby. You just have to bear in mind that your baby needs attention from you all the time. She needs to be fed with milk once in two hours when he is just born up to until 1 or months I think. You have to bathe her, clothe her and feed her. Give her love and accompany her to sleep.
