I would definitely go to the doctor for that. It sounds like jock itch, or a yeast infection. You can get them anywhere on your body that has moistness around it and produced yeast. Supposedly the atheletes' foot spray says it is for jock itch too. Or you can use feminine yeast cream, but I would definitely see the doctor before I did anything else. Don't be embarrassed for your parents to know. That is a normal condition that can happen. Just tell them that you want to go to the doctor because you think you might have jock itch. I hope that helps - it's really not so bad, you just need to get some medicine for it to clear it up. Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

Hi there Stacy! Well, maybe you can still see a doctor without your parents knowing it? If not, what we usually do with dry and itchy skin is to apply petroleum jelly on it.

Dear Stacy, Another name for petroleum jelly is Vaseline. However, I would like to tell you that even for me, I have a similar condition to you- dry, itchy but I have red sores or boils there that causes the itch. It really itches and I went to the gynaecologist and she said it might be a fungal infection and gave me tablets and cream. I think you should go on your own to a good female gynaecologist. Maybe you could go with a close friend. You can put Vaseline, also buy a good branded feminine intimate wash like Carefree Feminine Intimate Wash ( I don't know if you get Carefree in your country ) or if not try Johnson's or go to a pharmacy and ask for a good feminine intimate wash. This wash you use while you are bathing and it kills bacteria and cleans well and for me it relieves the itching for at least one day. Also after bath wipe well there with a clean towel because when it is damp the infections can come. We should wash there everyday and change our underwear evry day too. This along with a visit to a gynaecologist (ask her to examine you) and the treatmant she prescribes will help. Take care and hope you get well soon, From, Celin777
