Rain outside my window pouring down What now, your gone, my fault, I’m sorry Have you ever found yourself making a choice as if it is a matter of life and death? I had this peculiar dream recently. I was walking… no running in a straight path with nobody and absolutely nothing around me. I stopped scrutinize the situation. Then out of the blue, a lot of snakes appeared two blocks away from where I was standing. I tried to turn around and go back from where I came from… I saw darkness. Where would I go? What should I do? Again, I bunged to think. Snakes were on my way. They’ll eat me. No they’ll gobble me like nuts or popcorn that we munch whenever we are watching movies. Freaky eh? Good thing my phone rang and I was back to reality. After that dream, I tried to induce myself that it was just the effect of alcohol that I gulped down that night. Huh! Who am I convincing? Certainly, it was a message from my subconscious mind reminding me that each and everyday of my life, I am opt to make a choice. From the simplest thing, what outfit to wear, what channel to watch, what dvd to buy, or what ring tone / message alert tone to use, to the most multifaceted penchant to prefer. Am I to gamble myself and everything that I have for the sake of lust, like, and eventually, love? Should I stay and work myself up in the University where I started to build my career or look for another place to start over again absolutely, from scratch? Do I have to follow my fervor and zeal for teaching or be practical enough to look for a high paying job that will certifiably support my needs and wants in life? Tough ones huh? But then again, choices should be made. Decisions must be done. There are no “sure wins” in life. Everything is a test. Everything is at risk. Only, it is up to us on how to make the verdict. Are we ready to take the path wherein snakes are there always ready to devour on our flesh and blood or go through the darkness not knowing what is coming on our way. It is fun to live life to the fullest; it is hard to live the fullest out of my life though I am having a lot of fun. Feeling like a fool cause I let you down Now it’s, too late, to turn it around I’m sorry for the tears I made you cry I guess this time it really is goodbye
