Eos Publishers are Awesome!

Recently i bought a copy of David Forbes "The Words of Making" second in the Osserian Saga book series.
happily happily reading along..till page 388. then AAAAGGGHH! the pages skipped to page 421!! i was soo mad and upset! it stopped in the middle of a big battle, and apparantly during the missing pages at least 1 person died, and the library that they have been searching for the ENTIRE FIRST BOOK and 3/4 of this book, was somehow found..and they had managed to get past an enemy blockade..and there was some big fight between the main character and his father! so much had happened..one of which was a momentous occasion in the storyline!
and the pages hadnt been ripped out..the binding was perfect, it was like they had been completely left out of the printing process! id never had that happen before on any book, and ive bought hundreds in my life lol!
i emailed EOS (HarperCollins) and told them about it. i honestly didnt expect to even get a reply back from them. But this afternoon i got an email saying that they were sorry and that they would be Replacing my book with a Corrected copy for Free!
i am SO happy! i never thought they would be willing to do that! i just wanted to make sure that the publisher knew of the missing pages before it went up for reprint and stuff!
wow, dang im still all jazzed lol!
have you ever gotten a book with obvious missing pages or some other flaw and complained and then had the publisher actually try to fix it for you?

No that is a first for me. I have never heard of a thing like that happening before. I'm happy that they are replacing the book for you. Yes I would be upset as well. I hope you have a wonderful weekend your friend onlydia

Th is great they stood behind their product. Most companies will do this if they are any reputable company at all. I remember buying some quaker instant oatss in the small packs only they had only a spoon full of ost per bag. I wrote them and they gave me coupons for 2 new boxes. How will they know if you dont speeak up The squeeky wheel gets the greese. Have a great weekend! :)

yeah i smugly told my family in a loud and obnoxious voice that "i have proof that complaining works, therefore i shall do more of it!"

Watch out world. They sure dont like this attitude here in Mex. They prefer a more passive let the rich rob the poor attitude. I daily press the buttons but gently...sometimes just for fun. :)
