If the unemployment rate hit 6.5. The last time it was at 6.5 was during the Clinton administration. Wait a minute, that means that it was higher during the Clinton administration that at any time in the Bush adminisration up until now. I keep hearing about how awesome life was during the Clinton administration. How he maintained such a wonderful unemployment rate. But it took all of Bush's 8 years to get as high as it got during that era of milk and honey. The fact is, the average unemployment rates for both administrations were about the same (5.1% for Clinton and 5.2% for Bush). Another perfectly good myth down the drain.

Para, the differences between Clinton's economy, and Bush's economy is the fact that all Americans experienced growth in the country, and he left office with a budget SURPLUS. Bush will leave office with the largest budget deficit in our nations history, and vast majority of Americans say that they were better off 8 years ago, then they are today. Another Bush dream washed away.

And that is really the point. Sure it's no doubt a good thing if more of the country is employed but if the economy is still being put into a deficit there are more important issues at hand. Not only was Bush's run one which gave the US a deficit, but one which gave it the highest deficit it's ever had with trillions of dollars in debt now owed. This, of course, is leaving out the fact that he had a tendency to use his presidential authority to bypass about 700 different laws during his time in power and revising a few to his liking as well. I could go on, but I think the point is made, the Clinton administration did have some minor pitfalls, but not in the same league as the Bush administration's.

The "surplus" you speak of was nothign but off budget spending and unfunded mandates to the states. If Bush had of tried anything like that, you would be the first to call him on it. And your myth about all Americans experiencing growth is laughable. I held 6 jobs at the same time in the mid 90s. I guess since I held 1 full time job and 5 part time jobs, I counted for 6 employed people.

Para, using your logic I have a question for you: Shouldn't the American people call for Bush's impeachment because he lied to us when he said that: "this money belongs to the American people"? Was Bush lying to the American people? Should we spending tens of millions of dollars investigating this lie? The fact is that under Bill Clinton the stock market increased a record 225%. I understand that YOU are doing better, but our economy sure isn't and the vast majority of Americans aren't either.

There you go using facts again. Bush is 100% evil and has never done anything right. Clinton never did anything wrong. Life was perfect under Clinton and terrible under Bush. Your facts are no match for the liberal hatred towards Bush.

Ah, yes, how could be so naive as to compare my facts with liberal hate. :~D

It is the old double standard. If anything goes wrong blame the Republicans, if what goes wrong when the Democrats are in power, blame the Republicans, if anything goes right when the Republicans are in power, praise the Democrats. If anything does right when the Democrats are in power, praise the Democrats. Wait and see if the unemployment goes up from January on, they will not blame Obama, they will blame the previous administration and especially Bush. Facts do not matter, only their prejudices

Exactly, prejudice and bigotry are the stock and trade of liberalism.

This is a good statistics. Well, now that Obama wins and he promise to create jobs.. am sure the Obama fans would be happy if this will come true. I am upset that he wins but many people really like him. And now, as what was stated in Obama's website, he will really give work to people even to the retirees because he will impose hours of community service to all citizens. That is work.. hahahahah so, go, go. Obama fans.. we will be employed but no pay. GREAT!!!!

So I guess he thinks that jobs are the result of government programs. I just hope his community service plans don't include forced labor. If his community service plans aren't voluntary, then he's no better than any pro slavery monster.
