At this time there is no real proof of Hep C without doing the blood test. Most people that do have it are very tired at times. I know my mom didn't know she had it until she went for test because she was tired all the time. She wasn't one of the lucky ones to have survived it. Rather Hep C is real or not Hepatitis is real.
Hepat= liver, itis= inflamation of the liver. So rather it has A,B,C after it or not the disease is real.

While I've worked as a toxicologist, I've not been a lab since 1986.
I have a growing suspicion that the Hep-C test is for a protein expressed by liver cells in trouble... Possibly due to genetic mutation. Not a cancer but transformed . . . maybe.
It may be for a true viral infection but I've not found direct published evidence of a high standard. I'll try again to search the literature one of these weeks.
