There are so many openings in chess. There's so many theories, concepts to each of it. There's also a historical aspect to each of it also. There's so much to learn, and this is opening only, not yet the middle game and end game. I want to ask all of you, how do you open your chess game? What moves do you do to start your chess game? What opening do you use as white, or as black? Please share the opening that you use, and why is it that you choose that one. I have seen thick chess books in bookstores written about one opening only, for each book. That's unbelievable. I like using the Ruy Lopez or Spanish Opening, not that I understand it much, it's just that it's simple, and I am used to it. I do need to learn other openings so that I have more variety to my game. Hope you guys can share some of your knowledge on chess openings.
