The mystery is over - my pantyhose dilema...

OK, I started a discussion the other day about my pantyhose and my husband. A lot of you had some great reasons why my husband did what he did, but I asked him about it today, and frankly, I'm still confused... So, earlier in the week, we recieved some packages in the mail. I get all our cleaning products, presonal care products and snacks through the mail. When I sorted out everything, I put the stuff that goes into our bedroom in a box and put the box by the stairs so I'd remember to grab it on the way up there. I also put some stuff by the other stairs to take down on my next trip. Now, on the way home from work, I stopped at the grocery store and picked up a few things, including pantyhose. Realizing the pantyhose went upstairs, my husband took the bag they were in and put it on the door knob by the stairs so we could grab them on our way up. When I walked by, I put them into the box so I would remember all of it and not have to make 2 trips. So, I'm getting ready to go upstairs and get ready for bed and I see that the box is gone, but the bag of pantyhose is still there. OK, my husband NEVER takes the stuff up or downstairs, I didn't realize that he understood why I did this. What I really don't understand though is why he took the bag out of the box and only took the box upstairs? I mean, since he had taken the bag to the stairs earlier, he knew they had to go up, right? So, today I finally asked him and he told me that I told him that I needed to do something else with them. So he left them. I looked at him like he had 3 heads because I have no clue what he was talking about. When he first got home and moved the bag onto the floor I told him I had to take them upstairs. So I thought when he took them to the stairs he knew they had to go up. I kinda know why he took the extra effort to take them out of the bag and only take up the box (which he has NEVER done before). But I really don't have a clue since I never told him anything other than they had to go upstairs... Men, gotta love 'em...

I'm not confused at all...because this happens to me all the time. My husband's trying to clear up some things for me...and I'm doing a 'Hunh? what was that again?' I don't try to clear things up now because the 'clearing up' leaves me more confused and then I have to try and 'clear' that up....and we end up arguing about 'something else' altogether.

He remembered you had to do something with the panty hose but he could not remember what. He did have three heads but no ears.

He never pays attention, it's that old "selective hearing" thing...

Hi reiny! I got a good laugh out of that one! I'm glad you understood his lame explanation! I'm still laughing as I type this. Men are weird, I told you that! I'm waiting to see what my genius does today when he brings home the laundry. I told you my story about that! So I'll see what he's going to do today. I warned him not to leave anything else behind or I'd kill him. He already lost my favorite winter robe 2 weeks ago! So I'm really scared now when he takes out all the laundry. And I told you about the underwear thing! I do know he will do the same thing with them! lol! Well I have to go make our dinner before he gets home or he will be really upset! I am making tuna sandwiches and ravioli for him. He has the strangest combinations for his meals. What am I supposed to do with this wacko? Yes, I guess we're supposed t love 'em?

Hey, I have a recipe he might like from the sounds of it... The tuna/tomato sounds like something I used to have all the time when we were kids... If he brings all your laundry back, let me know and I'll give ya the recipe for him!

I am confused just by reading your discussion! Okay so he knows that you needed to do something with the pantyhose so he took them out of the box to go upstairs... alright, well then it's like.. .what does he think your going to do with them? When I hear "I have to do something with this" most of the time I interpret it to mean that the thing really needs to be put away, not usually do I think it has anything to do with cutting, or repairing, or anything like that.. What's his definition of "Do something?" Hmm... Well I'm glad you kind of solved that little mystery!
