Way to live my life to the fullest

Sometimes I feel that we people always live under uncertainty. Human beings think a lot, but can hardly do anything to protect themselves against the death. Considering that, I decide whatever desires come to my mind, I must see that those are fulfilled immediately. However, every time that is not possible. So, I am trying to be free from desires. The way the things come to and go away from me, I am learning to accept them. To some, it may appear to be philosophical, impractical, even utopian – but it seems that’s the most practical way to live the life happily, contentedly. What do you say?
