This is the purple ornament wreath I made for the craft sale next weekend. I must say they are very pretty but for as pretty as they are they were really a pain to work on and very time consuming. Have you done a craft that takes alot of time and patience but in the end is really worth it?

I love the home made crafts but I'm not very good at doing them.

After going in to look I left my comment. You did a marvelous job. I'm curious what do they sell for?

Your wreath is beautiful. I used to decorate baskets (mostly for Easter) and i also use to decorate cakes (birthday, wedding, whatever)and could spend hours on one part of the process (with either) before i was satisfied but thankfully whoever i was making it for usually thought it fantastic (I knew better) so i guess that was what counted the most.

Oh how pretty. Did the blue or purple ornaments sell well at your craft sale? All my crafts take forever since I use 7 mesh plastic canvas sheets. It might take me 2-3 weeks to make a cute project especially if each square needs to be filled in. I don't like to work with colored canvas because I think it cheapens the look of the final product. Most of the time the completed items are worth taking my time and energy to complete. I have done a project or two that took a long time and have been disappointed with the final product.

Well I think both wreaths are very pretty. It takes me almost 3 weeks to make a bank. I did the Elmo for our grandbaby and am almost done with an Ernie bank. I get bored and don't stick with it all day though. Everything pretty or unique takes loads of time. I appreciate the amount of work that goes into each project.

Neither one of them sold....but I sold so much other stuff....I am not sad they didn't sell though...I'll take one to my family christmas for the ladies gift and a guy is going to let me know about the blue one...he still wants it and said he'll give me a call by next Sunday.....both took a long time to make....and if someone doesn't want to pay a fair price so be it....you as a crafter know how long some projects take...unfortuately others don't know that...Our time is worth something!

I love it! The best thing about it is that you can hang it all year round because it isn't Christmas colors. I bet that you will sell it very qickly.

This is an absolutely gorgeous wreath! I don't mind making something that takes a bit more time and effort. If the project is something that I really want to do it is worth it. Whenever I go to craft shows my hubby says I should buy the item if I like it. But, I know that I can do it by myself for less money.

Hi Jill. I just checked out the big picture of this purple wreath and it is gorgeous! Gosh, you must have a real talent for making these wreaths. Are those ornaments glued onto the styrofoam wreath form? It sure is pretty, I wonder how it can be stored from year to year to preserve its beauty.
About the only craft I do is knitting, although I'm just now starting to get interesting in crocheting. I've never done it much but a recent knit project I did required me to crochet around the edges of several pieces. So, that got me thinking, hey, maybe I could make some simple crochet items. But, I haven't tried it yet cuz I'm still trying to catch up and finish all my "old" knitting projects.
When I knit items to be felted, then pieced together, that takes alot of time. But the end result is worth it.
