How many blog sites do you post your blog on?

LiveJournal Blogger Squidoo etc.... There's so many of them. I have lots of stuff I wanna blog about (and make money with at the same time), I was thinking instead of just opening your blog on one host (i.e. livejournal) wouldn't make sense to open the same blog on other hosting sites as well? So instead of just having yourblog.livejournal.com, you'll also have that same blog at: yourblog.blogspot.com squidoo.com/yourblog and so on and so on... I think it makes more sense in terms of promotion so that google and other search engines could pick it up much better, don't you think? I've never heard of anyone who's done this with their blog before, so that's why I'm wondering.

I only have two blogs and they are totally different. I post my new posts on various social networking and bookmarking sites such as Diggs, StumbleUpon, Facebook, etc. At the same time, I also post it to aggregator sites such as Yahoo! Buzz and a few local ones and that has bring in considerable traffic to my blog. Traffic exchange site such as Entrecard has also become a good source of traffic for me. Apart from all that, the other ways to bring traffic to my blog are by leaving comments on people's blogs as well as leaving comments on some shout boxes on blogs that have it installed. So, with the above, I do not really need to have multiple blogs with the same contents and furthermore, you would be pending too much time updating your blog instead of doing things that get generate traffic and income if you created a lot of them. Anyway, that is just my opinion. Cheers!

That's a good point there. Well, in that case, what would you guys recommend? I think Blogger and LiveJournal is cool, but I like Squidoo cuz you could open up a whole bunch of lenses (aka blogs) and has a lot of cool features and other additional ways to make money with your blog/lense. I'm not sure what to commit to I guess.

If you are just starting then Blogger would be a good platform to start but if you are already a seasoned blogger, you might one to consider self hosted blog using wordpress platform for example. Cheers!
