Finalcial Woes Your Fault or Someone Elses?

Two of the categories I especially enjoy in Mylot are life and politics. I have noticed (especially in politics) that a lot of you are blaming the current administration for the economic woes we are now in. I wonder though, how many of those woes are of our own making. I am in debt above what I make a year. Did President Bush or the congress get me in debt? No. I did it all by myself, because I wanted things. I didn't need them. I wanted them. How many of you got caught up in the housing market and bought a house (with an adjustable rate) you couldn't afford? How many of you bought the latest electronic gadgets, not because you needed them, but because you wanted them? How many of you bought an SUV, not because you needed it, but because everyone else has one? How many of you budget? How many of you thought before you bought, "I make this much money and I need this much for essentials, can I afford this? How many of you will admit that your financial woes are your own fault?
