There are many beautiful and exortic places in countries around the world. I do get the chance, once in a while, to visit some of those places. I was in Salzburg, Austria, once. Oh, that was an awesome place, beautiful and so scenic ! I did not miss the opportunity to take photos of those scenic places. I have a collection of those photos now. Do you take photos when you visit new places , places you had not been to before ?

Antrim coast, Northern Ireland - Photograph of the famous Antrim coast Northern Ireland
I love to take many photos of places i have travelled to. I have been to alot of different countries around the world. I have only just realised lately, how beautiful my own country actually is. I have started to take my camera with me a lot when I go out, to take photographs of the things I see here. I live in Northern Ireland near the Antrim coast and it is beautiful. Have you ever been here? My husband has visited Austria and he too says it was breathtaking. I have included a photograph of the antim coast for you to see.

Beautiful Colors - Taken a month ago at a Nature Center near my house.
Don't you have one to add to this discussion? I take photos all the time wherever I go. This is a shot of a Nature Center I visit a lot for walking etc. This is a shot of some of the beautiful colors of the leaves etc last month. I am my fathers caregiver so I have not been anywhere really for 5 years. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

There have been three great trips I have taken and I didn't take a camera. I have all the great things I saw in my head. I went to New Orleans , before Katrina, L.A. and San Francisco, and Montreal and I still remember all the beautiful things I saw. What I do have is postcards. I prefer them.

Hello Sarah. How are you ? Oh, I see. Yes, of course, postcards are a good collection and reminders of the places you have visited. Sometimes, since postcards are the art of professsionals, even better than photos we take by ourselves with our cameras.

Yes of course! Although I've been almost all around the world, I'd never been to North Wales. Went there recently with my wife and niece from Vietnam and we all loved it. What a beautiful place. We took more than 400 photos on a week..haha! The good thing is, I can now put them all on disc, with a slideshow and add music and it's great! Brings it all to life with music playing.

Oh really ? That would be so nice to make it a slideshow with music added. An excellent idea ! I think I would do that way too with the photos which I want to show to my friends and colleagues at work.

Yes, it's a good idea. We went to The New Forest in the south of England last week and here is a little slideshow of our photos and video together. Hope you like it :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc_K2VOF1b0

I probably would if for no other reason that to prove I'd been there. I know after I've been on a special trip with family and/or friends, it's fun to get together and relive the experience through our pictures. You're right about Salzburg, Austria being a beautiful place, but all of those countries in that part of the world are beautiful, especially those majestic mountains.

Yes, definitely. I always have my camera handy when travelling to a new place. I make sure to take quality pictures of the scenery alone. I also make sure to take pictures of myself with the scenery in the background. Pictures are very important to me because I can show people where I have been and what I have done. They are a great way of reflecting on the past.

I do take photo when I go to new places. I like to take photo. By taking photo I can keep the memory about new places. Maybe I won't have chance to go at that place in the future. Through photo I can share it with others like my friends and family. When I want to see it again, I just have to open my photo album.
