I am using a ruler to read some textbook and flash my eyes to keywords in sentences to make that fast read. I can read a 500 page manuscript in one sitting and my comprehension is good. What has been your fast read?

Hrm, well the only time I really have to speed read is when I DON'T want to read something, but have too. Usually I just search for keywords, and try to piece together the sentences from there, and remarkably that works.

Nice, we had that kind of exercise way-back in grade school too.

Depend on situation. I cant read fast if I need to scrutinize and understand deeply on most technical papers, reports, and analyze a source code. I do can be fast enough if I just want to get a big picture of specific subject. Even faster if I have to read a boring novel, BUT I cant read fast if it is a good writen one always do reread an interesting novel. well, thats what i mean with depend on situation.
