Well share or stock market is a platform where you can buy and sell various public listed company shares as well as many other financial instruments like futures, options, exchange traded funds, etc. You have to register with broker first and may have to keep some deposit before you can start trading. Also you may need to open a depository account with relevant authority as most of the trading are now days scrip less i.e. you do not get any hard copy share certificates in hand.

Share Market, also known as stock market, is where companies lists their shares and public can buy. Buying the share can be through a broker or an online trading account opened with a broking company. The share will has a bid and sell price. The bid price is the price which the buyers wants to buy where the sell price is the price where the sellers want to sell. There is always a difference between the bid and sell price. Take for example, company X share has a bid price of $1 and sell price of $1.05 meaning buyers have queued to buy at $1 where sellers have queued to sell at $1.05. Assunimg if you are a buyer and you want to buy immediately, you can just buy from the seller at $1.05. If you want lower, you can joing the queue at $1 or offer to buy at $1.03. thus now the bid price is $1.03 and sell price is $1.05. Assuming if you are a seller, you can immediately sell to the buyer at $1. Esle you can queue to sell at $1.03. Thus now bid price is $1 and sell price is $1.03.
