Massage as bowlegged (sakang) stopper?

Moms have advised me to massage my baby's feet to straighten them, or the baby will grow up bowlegged. Is this practice an old wive's tale or a medical fact? Appreciate your help very much!

hmm...i don't know whether or not that's a medical fact, but i do know that my grandma is bowlegged, and that she massaged my aunt's and my mom's legs when they were little and they have straight legs till now. not sure though if that was due to the massage or they simply didn't inherit the bowlegs.

im no medic expert or something.. just sharing an opinion... you know there's no harm in trying.. i think massages can do a lot of things.. and since thats a baby you're massaging, their bones will most likely follow.. like how you form a bonsai tree.. now, it wont hurt if you do you baby a tiny favor..:)
