Do you prefer to read or watch tv

I was reading a post on here about reading out load and got to thinking about it. Then it hit me I prefer to watch TV over reading because after a very stressfull day at work I can just sit back turn the tv up and drown out the world. Reading a book requires a little (very little) effort on my part to hold the book and turn the pages. What do you prefer and why?

I prefer to watch Tv as i can switch from different sections as movies, music,sports, news.... and so on.... but if tv is not available then i prefer newspaper. then comes the magazines or other brochure stuff..

i would much rather read unless i am watching something in regards to history. i do like to watch tv on monday evenings as i love to watch the antique road show and history detectives or what ever the local pbs is showing as long as it has historical value.
when i read, i pretty much only read history as well.

Well, it depends on my mood, if like to entertain myself, i watch t.V. most of the time. But if their is no T.V. around like in my workplace i like to read newspapers and magazine to pass the time.
