Do you wait until the movie starts before you dig into your popcorn?

I do. I would always hold off eating my snack (which is usually fries, but popcorn is a more popular movie snack) until the movie starts. The rest of my family on the other hand, digs into the popcorn, irregardless whether the movie is on, or it's just the previews, or if the screen is blank (and annoying restaurant music is on). I get annoyed when they do this, especially when we're sharing LOL. According to my brother, eating helps relieve the boredom one experiences while waiting for the movie to start. As for me, I hold off until the movie starts, because I want to enjoy the movie experience as much as possible, and that would mean having enough snacks that would last well into the movie.

I usually start eating during the previews. I just usually get pop corn and maybe candy. Once the movie starts i usually don't eat my snacks because i am to into the movie. I don't think i know anyone who actually waits for the movie to start to start eating their snack.

I used to do that! When I was in grade school and high school - probably because I didn't have that much snack with me :P I always had to save up for myself to watch a movie and to buy my own snacks and I really couldn't save much. But now that I'm more comfortable buying myself stuff since I started working, (actually I think it started when I entered college I started receiving more a more decent allowance), I start eating my popcorn when I get it from the counter :D of course I try to save it - I eat it one piece at a time and chew it slowly. Something like "just so I have something to occupy myself before the movie starts".

I actually don't usually have anything. Some candy sometimes, but even then, it depends. I'll usually have a piece or two before the movie and a few throughout, but I rarely ever finish it. I don't like popcorn and that's all the sell at the cinemas where I live.

No, I instinctively just dig in as soon as I get to my seat. I guess it's because when the movie starts - when I hear that bass-strong intro music - my focus just shifts and my eyes are glued to the screen. That's why I always get the smallest popcorn box available. What's worse is that it is almost always 3/4 full in my hands by the end of the show. And it's no good anymore when it's not warm... such a waste of good popcorn. :(

I usually snack on it before, during, and after the movie. When my boyfriend and I go to a movie we usually split the biggest popcorn we can get and there usually enought left over to give to our dogs when we get home. LOL

K, I find myself sitting with some of my family members while we're at a movie...
And me eating some of my popcorn while watching the trailer... Hahaha. But since it was a bad habit. My cousin, bro, and I would smuggle in snacks into the theater, eat that first before popcurn.

If it is popcorn and I am at the Movie theater I usually will try to wait until the start of the movie before digging in. But when you buy the largest one and they offer you a Free refill if you want one, then that is a Good deal for sure as well. But I find it a lot better to wait until the movie starts as they want you to be quiet, so that is a good time to sit back, enjoy your Hot Buttered popcorn and enjoy the movie as well.

When hubby and I go to the movies I get a box of candy and he gets a big popcorn. Neither of us wait til the movie starts to begin snacking. Of course, we try to get there as close to the start time as possible so our snacks aren't finished before the movie starts. Since my snack is usually much smaller than hubby's is, I usually finish mine first then help him finish the popcorn. By the time the movie is over, our snacks are finished too.

Yes, I will wait patiently for the movie to start before I chunk my popcorn. And, I will be enjoying my popcorn while the film is played. But, sometimes I forgot to eat my popcorn because I got drifted with the film. So, by the end of the film and the credit is on, I still have my popcorn.

It depends. If I'm hungry then by the time the movie starts, I would be halfway done with the popcorn or sometimes I would have finished my candy or chocolate bar. My drink though makes it halfway through the movie.
