When did this happen?

Where did the time go??? I was on Myspace looking though my family's pictures this morning and it hit me like a sledge hammer to the head. My oldest great grandson is in the 8th grade!! Saying he's 13 didn't seem to register till I saw him in his football uniform. Do you ever just go along through your life, taking everything as it comes and then one day wake up and realize just how much time has gone by? I guess when we're busy living life time flies.

Yup, happened to me the other day when I started a discussion about my stepson. I said he was in 1st grade in my discussion. My fiance quickly reminded me that he is in 2nd grade. I almost didn't believe him. It seems like he was 4 and meeting me for the first time just yesterday. I also swear that I just found out that I'm pregnant with my oldest and she'll be in preschool next year, and she has a baby sister now that's almost 4 months old.

When my nephew turned 15 I asked my sister if he was turning 11. She laughed. It is an ongoing joke now. My nephew will never let me live it down.

Something I have been doing alot lately is trying to remember all details of what we did or where we went with our kids when they were much younger. Most of the time it was to sporting events where they participated in the sport itself. We have had 3 grandbabies in less than 4 years and I wonder all the time where the time went. Two of these babies live 1,200 miles from us so I do miss them terribly. Trying to recall the past sometimes isn't that easy for me especially real details. I look at our new 2 week old grandbaby and think she doesn't look like her mom when she was little or she's smaller or larger than our daughter. Need to get out the baby books and look at them again and do a comparison. It's been an exciting couple of weeks to be able to spend time with our new grandbaby. They live about 20-25 minutes from us.

Kids do grow up so fast. I still remember my eight year old son as a baby and now he is almost a teenager. He is growing up fast. That means we are growing up too. The circle of life continues. © ronaldinu 2008

Sure! My oldest is going to start high school next year! OMG! I remember when she was just a "little peanut" that fit snugly in your arms. Seems like only yesterday. (sigh)

Time flies at our ages it seems. I have a hard time accepting the fact my grandsons are 9 and 8 almost already. Too quickly they've grown up. I think it is just that we have more time to think etc is why it flies past so quickly. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

hi beaddoodler, So this doesn't just happen to me!! I thought it was because I had so many grandchildren that I couldn't remember who's birthday was when or even how old they were. At our age everything seems to be flying by us. My oldest grandson graduated at 17 and that really throws me off. He's in college already, so it really messes me up because three grands were born that same year. Leave it to me to expect them all to be doing the same because they are the same age. LOL When we weren't looking, these little one grew up and forgot to tell us about it!!!LOL Have a nice day my friend..
