All those novel freaks, how many pages do you typically read in one hour? Here, assume, the novel is of standard size and standard fonts...as average sized text. how quick a reader you are in your opinion?

I am not to sure how many pages I have or could read in an hour. I think if I am really in to the story I can finish a book in a day or two. Sometimes it is so interesting and exciting I cannot put it down. It is like watching a good movie and you just have to know the end of it as quickly as possible. If I had to take a guess, I would say between thirty to fourty pages an hour. I will let you know later when I finish of my Maeve Binchy novel, Heart and Soul.

Well i have never timed how many pages i read in one hour, but if my book is a page turner you will be surprised how fast i complete it. Once a friend lent me 'The Alchemist', the book was not his and he was returning it the next day. I took it home with me after work and i think i started the book round 6pm. The next day (morning) i gave him back the book - finished reading. He was amazed and didn't believed that i had finished it. For those out there who has read this book will agree with me that once you start it you don't want to put it down

Depending on the book, I read about a 400 page book in about 5-6 hours.

I really couldn't say. I don't calculate the amount of pages I can read in an hour. And, for me, it varies from day to day, depending on my mood. Some days I might read more in an hour than other days.
