Are you More likely to Buy something if it's On Sale or if You have a Coupon?

I love clearance racks. But I have a problem usually I buy stuff just because it's a good deal. Usually I find pretty good items at Kohls on there clearance rack.. But there prices are still kind of high. Once in a while I'll find a pair of jeans that are only $10 and I snag them right up.

I also am a weird kind of person though. I would spend $300 on a pair of jeans I love, cause I bet I'd wear them 300 times... but buying a pair of jeans for $10 is a good deal, but I probably don't love them as much, so I'd wear them once... If I ever do find something I LOVE for cheap, AWESOME... but doesn't always happen

I can't imagine spending that much on a pair of jeans. The most I've spent was $30 bucks and that's a lot to what I feel. But $300.! I can't believe that. I actually wear my jeans a lot.

I've done that before too. Now I just keep all my coupons out in the car so I don't forget them when I go grocery shopping or if I find a really good sale.

I prefer not to buy anything in department store if I can help it. Usually they mark up things so high that it's truly not affordable. If you think about it if we go to a thirft store or even walmart we can find things a lot cheapier than spending a bunch of money at a department store. I really do think there out there to rip us off sometimes.

I try not to buy anything that I don't need. Because like you said that it's just wasting money. My neighbor buys items all the time that he doesn't need but rather he ends up eating it anyways even if by the time he gets to it's expired. Definately a waste of money.

Sounds like a pretty good idea. That would be a great savings. On groceries I love finding closeouts and using coupons with them. The other day I got Country Crock Butter went from $3. a tub to a close out price to $1.5 plus I had a .35 cent coupon which I doubled. So i ended up paying about .75 a tub. I'd say not bad for a great savings.

Sales and Coupons can save you so much money! But I understand not always going to JC or Department stores just because you have a coupon. Actually it can end up costing you even more.

In these times being frugal is not a bad thing actually I find it part of a requirement. If we can save more money by watching are spending at least we will know that we got are bills covered. And pay a lot less for things. Usually I go on ebay to find cheapier deals on movies then actually going to the store.

I do understand that too. I usually buy generic unless there's a sale and I have a coupon. For the longest time i wasn't using coupons. Just buying what I need. But now that my husband is making a lot less we need to be more frugile. I also have a store near where I live that is all clearance really marked down low foods and they don't accept coupons. But it's an hour away so only once a Month I go there to do some shopping. But it's amazing how much I end up saving.

Unfortunately I kind of feel like how you explained about being a crazy person with coupons. But honestly I have saved so much money with them. If you find a sale and then have a coupon it's even better. I love it when I go grocery shopping and I find a sale and I have a coupon and then it can be doubled too! A bundle of savings!! This last time I went grocery shopping I would have spend $70 but with coupons, sales, and doubling the coupons I saved a lot! I ended up spending $40. So I find it quite worth it.

Searching for coupons some may say that it's a waste of time. Myself I believe that coupons can save you so much if you know where to use them and if you catch sales. Then again some things I try to wait for a sale but sometimes it takes just to darn long.
