my mom raised me and my brother on her own. I don't know what she made but I know it wasn't a lot. We never wanted for anything. Her and one of her friends who was also a single mom had a plan. One night mom would make for all five of us, then her friend cooked the next night so every other night mom would have to cook. It helped give her company and someone to talk while save some money the same for her friend. We made it work. She did her best and when i look back on my childhood, it was a good one, a happy one. She was the greatest mom and an inspiration to me.

35 k isn't that bad. Depending on how much your husband makes and whether you get the kid(s), child support and alimony will be determined. If you still can have the lifestyle you want? Well, that depends on the kind of lifestyle you desire. You won't be able to be extravagant but you'll be able to have a small apartment, a car, and food on the table. You'll just have to budget properly.
