I feel bad for Governor Palin now

I feel a little sorry for GOvernor Palin now. I saw the headlines that says that they must now sort through the immense lot of clothing bought to determine which Palin will be allowed to keep..I would suppose she bought lots of different styles during the campaign..It's like giving a candy to a child and then taking it back.. Even though I didn't cast my vote that way, I think they should leave well enough alone and let Governor Palin have her clothes.

If the news accounts are true there was an excessive amount spent on clothes for Palin and her entire family, which violated campaign fund rules. I don't believe that she should be rewarded for her poor judgement and overspending...regardless of who made the actual purchases. I say let her, Todd and the kids keep the socks and undies...everything else should be returned.

I really don't care how the McCain campaign or the RNC spends their money so it wouldn't bother me in the least if they let her keep the clothes! It's just interesting and funny how she's repeatedly said she didn't buy them, most have been returned, ya-da-ya-da, yet in one report I saw, I think the Newsweek forum on C-Span, a reporter said that at the very time she was saying these things on the stump there will people delivering even more clothing to her hotel rooms. Oh, well, maybe there ARE hockey moms/pit-bulls with lipstick who really do their shopping at Saks! I guess I'm mean-spirited because I can't say I feel sorry for her. She said some of us aren't real Americans and don't live in the real America so I guess I'm still a little bit bitter...lol! (Did you see my little wink?) Annie

Guess you and I are in the same boat. But, my question is, when I watched her one speech she said that all the clothes were in the belly of the plane. So really what's the real story. Were they in the belly of the plane mixed in with her own clothes or in the RNC's luggage? I guess it's like the ebay jet and the bridge to nowhere. One has to draw their own conclusion. And, I don't feel sorry for her either. I live in one of those city unamerican cities lol

surely not.unless they become novelties on ebay that sell for a million or two..Hey maybe Governor Palin can do that..she won't need to run for office . I have seen bloomers from the 1800's sell for a good penny on ebay:)_

It has all been so exaggerated. They went out and bought the clothes for her. She didn't physically go into the store herself. She had a 'personal shopper' so to speak from the campaign. Not all was used either. Some of it had already been returned. Anyhow, unlike a man, who can get away with wearing the same type of suit, a woman seems to have to wear different outfits all the time. Considering that Palin had so many appearances since she joined the ticket, it's not surprising that quite a bit of stuff had accumulated. Add to that the clothes she brought herself... Anyhow, yes, she has been sorting through it over the weekend. Every item has to be accounted for because they are trying to figure out how the $150k figure is put together. I suppose that's how the underwear comes into play. What she has worn will be donated, what has not been used will be returned to the stores or donated, they are not sure yet, lol. I do feel sorry for her because she got into trouble for something that she didn't even do herself. The campaign send somebody to go shopping to have the Palin family dressed properly. They should have a look at the clothing bills of our first ladies before they start complaining, lol.

Well I do think that Palin's Daughters or children shopped for themselves, which was an issue that was brought up during the campaign.

They said she can pay for them if she wants to keep them. But I doubt she will. The Palins unlike the other three candidates (McCain, Obama and Biden)are not rich. THey said the clothes with tags on that she never wore will go back to the stores and the rest will be auctioned off with the money going to charity. I feel bad for her too. With all she went through, and all the BS she put up with you would think that she would get to keep them. But she probly does not want to. If she ever runs for congress or a higher office, it will all over the news that she got to keep all those clothes and it will be another scandel. Just like it was this time. So in the long run it is best that she just give them back.

I suppose that others bought the clothes for her and like most women, you say 'thank you' but in your heart, you are thinking 'I can't stand that color, it is not me,' or other excuses to show that you would not wear those clothes to a dog fight. And the way they put it as if she was a little kid who is being punished or grabs clothes off the rack at Walmart and then is told, no darling put those back, you can only have that one. I think that had they written that Palin complained about those clothes the others bought for the campaign that did not suit her, they would say that she was ungrateful. I would say it is none of our business, and she will return those clothes that did not look good on her, whose color she could not stand, whose styles were not right, and what she would not wear to a dog fight.

I think she should be able to keep it... I believe I heard her say that she was going to bring them to the thrift store in wasilla... I can't believe that there is a huge need for campaign clothes there in a town of like 4000... according to her everyone there wheres carharts like joe the plumber anyway... she should be able to keep them.
