When I eat at a Chinese restaurant I always add that chili paste found on the table to the dimsum, dips and and sometimes on soups. It makes food more delicious and delectable. In times I want to cook Chinese food, I want to add this but too bad I don't know how to make it. Does anybody know how to make Chinese Chili Paste?

I like chili paste too. I usually would ask for it. Sometimes, I would even add the 7-spices Spice into it. Anyways, here's a link where you can find how Chili pastes are done: http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1715,149185-254196,00.html!

I tried the link but that is not the Chinese chili paste recipe that I want. Anybody else who can teach me how to prepare it? It goes very well with siomai and a good dip for all kinds of dimsums. Thanks in advance. Jeanette
