I purposely chose to use a picture for my avatar that matches my username. I think that the picture that I use stands out and is easily identifiable. Also, it helps that I really enjoy European Football (Soccer). HehHeh. Does your avatar match your username? If not, why did you choose that picture?

My avatar is simply me. It used to be a Wiccan priestess but I am not one, although I do believe in the Wiccan faith. So I reverted to my picture in the end because I just felt like it at the time.

I have no idea but that sounds like discrimination to me. That would be typical of bush.

Yes, apparently he did: "I don't think that witchcraft is a religion. I wish the military would rethink this decision." -- George W. Bush to ABCNEWS, June, 1999 http://www.positiveatheism.org/writ/bushwicca.htm He did it again as president: "Bush Apologizes to Wiccan Soldier's Widow for Meeting Slip-Up" http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/31/AR2007083101954.html

Didn't G.W. Bush say that he disapproved of Wiccan soldiers being given the same religious rights as others in the military when he was Governor of Texas?

Right now, no. My user name is one of my daughters nicknames and right now my avatar is my son.

That's a good way to keep things fresh and break the monotony. I suppose it is also a way to keep friends on their toes and make sure that they are paying attention and not just going through the motions. I'll be looking for that picture change in a little while. LOL. :)

Well, my avatar with my name in here, is my actually picture, and actually those that have chosen to be active in here, or my friends in here now know me by my avatar as well as my name so this helps people to know how to find me better as well. Even though my picture is over 2 yrs. old, this is me, and I am proud to be able to show it off here as well.

It is a nice personal touch. An easily identifiable avatar and username really does help when you are trying to sift through the mountains of posts and find what you are looking for. Especially when you have a lot of friends or a following which likes to engage in your discussions. It is important to be proud of who you are, your heritage and where you come from. It is an absolute shame when some people become discouraged from, intimidated against, or are afraid of showing their pride.

Not really since my username is one depicting a certain degree of concealment and my avatar is the symbol for a concept. The avatar is the symbol for the concept in mathmatics and the concept has an even wider meaning in both science where my backgrouns is and in life.

Yes, ever since I changed it from the generic one soon after I joined.

Have you always used a picture of the infinity symbol as your avatar here on myLot?

Yes, I think so. My avatar is my picture, although you can only see half of my face. My username on the other hand, is a shortcut of my name and if you will read it, you will know who i am and iamcdy...

Perhaps Cindy or Candy(Candace)? Seems as though myLotters like to use photos of themselves for their avatars. It's a nice personal touch. :)

I think my username best describes my avatar. My avatar is a picture of myself, and my username has my name on it. So it describes my avatar and to myself well. When people see my avatar, they will recognize it easily, that it is simpaulguy.

Your username is a very creative play on a common phrase or words. Nice touch. Thanks for sharing.

I guess it does. I need to update mine though. The current guinea pig was already adopted quite awhile ago. I should change it to one that is currently in foster care.

Your username is a perfect match for your avatar Pigglies. Your username affords you the option of changing the picture frequently and still matching up. Cheers.

Well, my avatar is my own picture. So I guess it fits my username because it represents me. Hehehe. Anyways, I chose that picture simply because it looks cool. That was taken on a bar while me and my friend were bar-hopping.

That's as good a reason as any. I guess the only avatar that can match a username that happens to be your name or nickname is a picture of yourself. Unless you have a well known name or nickname.
