Whether you are a host or a guest, there are many social situations that will call for interaction, even when you are stumped for some way to get it going. For example, you might want to help a friend's new "significant other" feel comfortable. Or, you might see astranger across a crowded room, and realize that this is your only chance to impress Mr. or Ms. Wonderful. Then, you realize that you're not sure what to say. In that case,Will you how to deal with?

Hi there Carlos! Well, I will base it on what my friend told me about his significant other. If he haven't talk about her at all before, then I will just tell her that we're glad to have her with us. I might also tell her what food will be served and ask if she like that or if she like cooking, or I will open up my own interests and see how she reacts about them, if she'll be interested with them too or not and I'm sure that we will be able to find a topic for talk with that.
