What shapes a friendship?

What in your opinion is the most important virtue in building up a friendship? I have some options.... is it sharing ur close secrets or spending time or standing at the time of need? PLz dont answers its a combo of all as i need to know about the most important virtue.....

friendship is made up of trust and respect... any of the two is lacking it won't last long.. its not how much time you spend or how many secrets you shared that counts... it's how respect and trust each other.....

I believe trust is one of the most important things, but I also think space as I think some friends become too possessive and clingy....but trust and being there for each other is very important.
