Coming home for Thanksgiving!

Our 19 year old son is coming home this Saturday for Thanksgiving, he'll be home for 1 week, Saturday to Saturday, I have to pick him up this Saturday at the train station, and then the following Saturday bring him back to the train station so he can go back to school. We haven't seen him since September, even though we talk 2-3 times a week via Yahoo Messenger Phone. My husband has been making plans with him for his week home, and even coming up with menus for the week, all the things he can't get at school. This past month has been so hectic for me, I feel almost guilty for not being as involved with the planning this year, although it is better this year, last year was the first time he'd been away from home for so long, and we all were a bit lost while he was gone (he's the oldest and he has a terrific relationship with his sister, so even she couldn't wait to see him face to face again). Do all parents get this way when their children go off to college? It's almost like Christmas coming early, the anticipation and joy of it. For those of you in college, do you look forward to going home for Thanksgiving? How long do you get off school for it?
