What's your fav movie and why? Mine has to be either- The Notebook: Because it breaks my heart, and the first time i saw it i sobbed so hard i actually ended up getting depressed.- Surprisingly it was my boyfriend who made me watch it, and just after it ended all i could say through the tears to him was "I hate you, why?"-"Why did you make me watch it! I hate you." He never quite got over that ;D P.S. I Love You: This film was just brilliant. The idea is one of a genius's. I Absolutely cant live without this film. Although again, sad, it has a really beautiful tale, and a really beautiful ending. - Plus i'm really into Ireland now ;D So Yeah, i'm a bit of a Romantic / Romantic, comedy freak (Horrors scare the living crap out of me) Anyway, whats your favorite movie and why?

Titanic is my all time fav movie. this movie rewrote the film history. No one cares what anyone thinks about this movie, because it transcends criticism. Every flaw in the movie is easily overcome by the many amazing thins the movie has going for it. It is an extremely beautiful movie, and i doubt that many of us well see anything like this again. I have seen it more times thn I care to count, and still become transfixed everytime, with a feeling which is hard to describe.

Oh goodness... let's try to narrow this down to just a few..... What Dreams May Come - Robin Williams, Isabella Rosalini - I have kind of "unconventional" ideas of what constitutes a romantic gesture and giving up Heaven because you believe you can rescue your only love from her own private Hell is about as romantic as it gets. And then there's the idea of being true soul mates who will find one another no matter how many times you relive your lives that is just amazing. Boondock Saints - Sean Patrick Flannery, Norman Reedus - I love anything that has to do with organized crime, especially the Irish mob, and Boondock Saints is about Connor and Murphy McManus, Irish twins in South Boston who single (double?) handedly take on the Russian syndicate muscling in on their neighborhood. And win. The Goonies - Sean Astin, Corey Feldman - The 80's were the decade for buddy films and the Goonies was one of the best. Four lifelong friends (and one older brother) are in danger of being split up when a corporate developer tries to buy their neighborhood and bulldoze the whole works. They set off in search of a pirate ship and the treasure therein to pay off the developer and keep their homes in the "Goon-docks". It's adventurous, action-packed and funny all rolled into one film that I've seen at least three, maybe four or five dozen times. Nightmare Before Christmas - I am a Tim Burton fanatic! I love his movies, even the ones that fall a bit short of their mark (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) but NBX is beautiful. The story and characters are original, the music is wonderful (thank you, Danny Elfman) and the stop-motion animation belongs solely to Burton's genius. On the extended DVD with the behind the scenes stuff, they said it took hours to film what turned out to be a five minute scene in the movie because each movement of the characters had to be shot a single frame at a time and the clay figures repositioned by hand. AMAZING! That in this era where computers make animation a thousand times more efficient than ever before, Tim Burton opts for doing Nightmare Before Christmas entirely by hand. I guess I'll call that a list. :)

For me it is Gone with the wind. It is because of great acting and every kind of emotions it portrays.

i dont have one favourite, i have many which i think are equally as good as the other. for the purpose of this discussion i will just name three i like, i no particular order. the first is leon starring natalie portman and jon reno. it is about a hitman who takes in an orphaned girl. its a very moving story with plenty of action thrown in! the second is i am sam with sean penn and dakota fanning. this is about a man with the mind of a seve year old who becomes a father. when the child turns seven the local childrens authorities decide to take the child from him as she is more advanced. this one is serously sad and i cried a lot. the final is candyman. as i am a big fan of horrors this had to one of my favourites. its about a gohstly figure who has a hook instead of a hand and he comes for you if you say his name 5 times in the mirror!. this one has a real tense atmosphere. happy mylotting

I think the worst thing about I Am Sam is that Sam loves Lucy so much and because of his autism (isn't that what's wrong with him?) he doesn't understand why he can't be with her. It's always sad when a loving parent is told they are not fit but Sam doesn't even understand why. He thinks loving her should be enough. :'(

look at the relationship between michelle pfifer and her son. they are nowhere near as close as penn and fanning. it just shows that intelligence and disability have know effect and how somebdoy loves or is able to show love! happy mylotting

I love Psycho, it is definately my favorite movie. I am known to call it a work of art, because I believe that everything is beautifully done in that movie. It also is my favorite ending ever to a movie, no other movie can top it.

Hands down Best In Show. It is hilarious up to all 12 times my husband and I have watched it. And each time we watch it we find something new! I do believe that dog lovers, like us, who have had their dogs in dog shows, like us, might find the spoof on the event - all too real! Like The Notebook had you sobbing, Best in Show had moments of gut busting laughs. One of the best quotes is on why Gerry Fleck, one of the husbands whose dog is in the show, "I cant' dance, I can't dance,I have two left feet." To which his wife Cookie says, " I thought he was kidding." And as the camera pans down to Gerry's feet he says, "But I wasn't; I was born with two left feet!" And that is what you see! It is one of the best comedies ever. So if you want a laugh instead of a cry, watch Best in Show. It's a doggone documentary.

I think it's too difficult for me to list my favorite movie. I think I have a couple but like I said, it's too difficult to remember most. Some I love: "The Italian Job", "Crank", "Four Brothers".

cryw0lf, I must agree with you on both of your top movies. The notebook made me realize that I was not with my first love :-(..... and P.S. i love you just made me wonder and appreciated how beautiful marriage can be. Another movie i think is really good is The Illusionist I really enjoyed the outcome of that movie if you have not seen it you should (Romantic/Drama). On the other side Remember the titans and The rundown are great movies to watch, even if you are a girl!

Mine is definitely Sweeney Todd (2007). I'm very fond of the story itself, and I think that the film was shot most beautifully. I'm fascinated by the visual aspect of the film and the cast list full of amazing actors. The soundtrack was also very good and I can watch this film over and over again - I have not found another film I can watch repeatedly without getting tired of it.

Seven Samurai, by Kurosawa. few other films come close to the epic grandeur of it. A classic, a legend - this film has absolutely everything that should be in a movie: emotion, action, humour, pathos, a superb script and great direction of excellent actors. Then again, Yojimbo and Sanjuro were great, too! I have to agree with Lou on 'Leon' ('The Professional' in the US) - amazing film. Jean Reno is wonderful (pretty much my favourite actor, incidentally). One also not to miss is the original 'Shall we dansu?', which was remade as 'Shall we dance?' in the US. The Japanese original is beautiful and reduces me to tears every single time. No mean feat, that!
