We've planned trips to North Carolina to see his mom but finances haven't let us do so. Hopefully next summer we'll go.

The only South I have visited is South Dakota, hehe and I was younger, so I can only remember bits and pieces.

I visited South Carolina for a family vacation last summer. We had a very nice time. Loved the costal towns and beaches but I think we had the most fun in Charleston. My best friend from high school has lived in SC with her family for years. They are in Lexington. Her family really loves it there. She says that she especially enjoys the fact that they experience all four seasons to the fullest.

cream97, you had asked about or said something about people not responding to a lot of your discussions. If I may, I'd like to tell you one of the reasons why. This is one of the reasons, this discussion, a one liner. It's against mylot guidlines and if it's found by the mylot administraters, it will get deleted and the people have responded to it will lose money when it gets deleted. So there you have it, the truth. I'm not trying to offend you in any way, you asked and I'm finally getting the courage to tell you. Hope you take it as it is, constructive critisism. Nothing more and nothing less.

I'm so glad you took my advice constructivly for it was just that, advice. I don't like giving it unless it's asked and even then, I try to keep the person's feelings in mind but have been known to step on a few toes. lol Anyway, another thing too and I think you know about this, a lot of people want a response back from the discussion maker. Now when getting so many, one has to know it's hard to get back to them all but at least try to get to the first 20 if not all of them. It depends on how much time you want to be at the computer. Like myself, I don't like staying on for very long because I'm so busy with so many things going on.

We have been to South Carolina a couple of times. My wife and I went there with a bunch of friends before we were married. We went to Myrtle Beach. We liked it so much we went back again for our honeymoon. We have not been there in 19 years but we did like it very much. We really liked the ocean, but I don't think I would want to live there because of all the huricanes in that area.

Yes, Myrtle Beach does have a bit of hurricanes that comes.. I would not like to live there either... I am afraid to live near any waters that close. I would prefer dry land myself.. I have been to Myrtle Beach quite a few times.. And I loved it.. I just would rather go by myself and with friends than to go with family members. I am so glad that you loved your trip that you and your wife took. I hope that you both are able to come back again..

I am not sure If the place I have been visiting is a part of South Carolina. I lived in North Carolina with my hubby for about 2 years. But there are times that we go some places but not sure if it is a part of whether North or South Carolina. i did not review my geography hahahaha.... anyway, I like North Carolina though.. I am not living here for a long time but this place is nice.

We live just outside of Columbia, SC. I am from Pensacola, FL so this is a complete different place than I am used to. The Carolinas are beautiful. From the Mountains in the upstate to the Lake in the Midlands to the Coast and Low Country. We have great sites and great foods that you won't find anywhere. Ever try Shrimp and Grits! YUMMMMMMM!!!!
