I used to be like that, infact I still am like that. I always tend to eat alone although I really do want to get out of this habit. I guess lonliness can start to set in. Have you ever had lunch with your work colleagues? I sometimes get uncomfortable doing that, I know this doesn't make a whole lot of sense, this is just me I guess. Anyway, there you go. Andrew

It would be nice to let them know if you're going out to have lunch break. If they join its good. If not, it good too. Point is....you gotta tell someone you'll go out for a break so no one would wonder where you are.

I guess it depends on what kind of company you're working for and whether you all have the same lunch time. In some companies, two or more people are not allowed to go for lunch at the same time because while 1 or 2 eats, the rest of them are supposed to take care of customers. If that's not the case for you, it is always nice for you to ask if someone wants to go to lunch with you because otherwise people would think that you want to be left alone and don't want any other's company. It's ok if you ate alone before, but going forward you can ask if someone is interested because you will make more friends that way and learn a lot too, because people talk about a lot of things while having lunch with friends and there might be things you didn't know about before that might be useful for you or someone else whom you care about.
