I have no motivation today for any thing. I am at work and getting things done because I HAVE to but I am MAKING myself do it. I have absolutely no motivation to do any thing today. Even here on Mylot. I have only responded to two discussions and started this one and another.
Where is my motivation? Motivation come back!!!
What do you do to get motivated when you have none?!?!

I sure know how you are feeling! Sometimes when I feel that way I find I am really just very tired, and the best thing to do is relax a little (play a game, take a walk, or watch something lighthearted on tv, or whatever) and then go to sleep. When I get some rest I usually feel better and have ideas in my mind to write about again, etc.
But sometimes it is just getting tired or bored of the one particular activity, so I will keep working but switch to something different, like switch from writing on mylot, to writing reviews on ciao, or switch to building my websites. Sometimes the best thing to get my motivation back is to go wash dishes or cook, or clean the floor! I think after spending a lot of time at a desk/writing, the activity helps clear the head and get the blood flowing again...
If you lose your motivation for a longer period of time, you could be depressed -- which is not necessarily to do with sadness but often a chemical imbalance in the brain so needing medication. But just a day of no motivation like you are describing, I would just treat myself gently and give myself a treat and a rest -- then bounce back tomorrow!
Hope you feel better tomorrow!

...we all have these days...ride it out, relax, read, take a nap, go for a walk, run a mile...don't worry about it...life is short and unpredictable.

Well I did get the minimal amount done at least. I think its all the changes I am so used to my routine and it all changed so now I have to get used to my new routine just to change again when I get down there.
By the way - B has 3 leads 1 really good one on jobs and I have a few ideas for me. It hard because I can't look now knowing it will be a month or so before I get there!

I just go for a walk and wait for inspiration and motivation to come back. Otherwise I stay watching a DVD to kill time.

When I have no motivation to do anything I usually stay that way, I can never become motivated to do anything. Then by the end of the day I am mad with myself for being so lazy! Just lately I have had no go in me whatsoever for absolutely anything at all.

If I am in a mood like that on a day off from work I make myself get up and go out of the house. Even if just to Starbucks for a coffee. Once I get out I'm usually fine. But being stuck at work and having no motovation sucks because I can't go any where.

I did minimual work yesterday (the day I started this) and now I am working just fine. I think I am sick of the same crap just a different day! Last night I got good news that I am going out of town this weekend for a "girls" weekend so I am hoping I come back refreshed and ready to start the week!

I have been in exactly the same position you are in! I would always feel down and I would lack motivation. However, I was introduced to those lovely self-help tapes! They are kind of like coaching tapes and whenever I am feeling low or depressed I tend to stick one in the tape player and my ears suddenly stand erect! I pay attention then and the good feelings start to flow. All of a sudden I want to start living again! I think that everyone needs that, no matter how strong you are. I certainly need to be coached as I find myself getting off track, this happens a lot. Anyway, that's one way you can motivate yourself. Listen to one of those coaching tapes on your way to work. You will start to see change, believe me! Good luck. Andrew

I think it's the weather that makes me feel unmovitated to do anything at times. It's very cold today and lightly raining and I'm suppose to be doing some things today but I can't be bothered either. The contractors didn't come in yesterday and I'm waiting for them to come today. I can hear them at our neighbors apartment so I'm sure they're heading here soon. The only thing I am motivated to do today is mylotting LOL nothing else.
