I am interested in becoming a pilot. I would like to fly internationally. What might I expect? What would starting wages be? Is there really a shortage of pilots currently, or is the career flooded?

Wow...nobody responded to this in 5 months! Crazy! This community really needs to grow! Anyway I am no expert but you should seriously consider a flight school, check out their pricing (tends to be a little steep) and do your private pilot license, then build up hours and get your commercial pilot license, and after you slave yourself up for some hours you can go and do your airline pilot license. Price kinda goes up as you go as more and more flying hours are required and you have to spnsorize them with your own money. You can also get a flight instructor rating as you go and help build some hours that way. For the rest that's all I can say. cheers
