A big thank you to all the veterans from all of us! / myLot

First I want to say a personal Thank you to all the veterans we have out there....without your personal sacrifices....putting your life on the line....and for some never coming home, I want to thank all of you for giving and preserving our freedoms! Who ever else wants to send a thank you to our veterans...just leave a post! Happy Veterans Day!!!!!

Hi Jill, It is Rememberance Day here in the UK too and at 11 am today I stood with everyone at the Marine Camp to give thoughts and prayers to all those that you have mentioned and also the lads still due to go out to help. This was done with a two minute silence. Bless our hereos and their families. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hi Jill, Thank you so much for best response I really appreciate it. At work we have a box that actively collect for 'Help the Heroes' which is also a cause on Facebook which I must admit I have been distracted with away from the Lot recently so apologies but I will play catch up at some stage. Yes, happy veterans day. Also today is rememberance day in the UK. We remember all the People who lost their lives in the wars by wearing a red poppie. The money we pay for the poppie goes to the veterans. "We will remember them."

It's difficult for me to add anything to this discussion since you said it so well. I do also want to thank all veterans. And for the veterans who didn't return home, my heartfelt sympathies to their family and friends.

Amen! I hope yesterday many veterans were thanked for their sacrifices. We shouldn't even need to have a special day to tell them a thank you, but I'm glad there is a national reminder. I cannot fathom all they have been through. And it shames me how some of the veterans are forgotten about these days. Their welfare as they get older is increasingly neglected.
