Some would say yes and some no .Those who say yes are thinking about the greater good that would result from the knowledge gained into study. Many diseases have been cured as a result of studies done on bodies which have been donated for medical research. In addition they say well they are dead anyway and wont feel anything.Often times too its persons who have terminal diseases who do this and their end is inevitable.
On the other hand are religious minded and sentimentalists .They believe that persons hava soul or spirit that survives the death of the physical body.Consequently they believe that through your soul or spirit you continue to have life and any such research would affect the spirit. These persons also believe that your body is a sacred gift of God that isnt ours to donate in the first place .The sentimentalist view is that they dont want their beautiful body to be violated

I have no problem with donating my organs but I do have a little concern about leaving my body for research but this is only because i did see a program on this sort of thing and I was shocked when i saw what they sometimes do and that may be ok for some but i think it is not for me....
