My husband wants to try fried apples he never had them before. But when I was in the process of getting the recipes and how to my auntie passed away(she was the chief of the family & now I feel like Im that way a little bit because I love to cook and bake especially around the holidays)I want to make this a new traditional holiday treat type of theme for my family. So if anyone have or now how to do this recipe. PLEASE HELP me. How do I prepare &/or fry apples.

Why fry them? Spray them with cooking spray and sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on them. Bake or broil them for a healthier alternative.

I actually never thought about that I think I just might do it that way. Its sound less messy and easy. Just 1 question how long should I bake them for. Thank you for the response and the great idea.

I'm sorry it took me so long to reply, my job has kept me very busy! You can bake the apples about 15 minutes if you want to leave a little crunch in them. If you bake them too long they will get mushy and turn to applesauce!

Prepare a baking paste (should not be to liquid, it has to stick on the fruit) peel the apples, carve out the center, cut to sclices (about 1 cm) dip the sclices in the paste and frie them in oil. You may vary the paste to your own taste: more or less sugar, maybe spiced (cinnamon is my favorite) Try it with pineapple or banana too, it's great! If you're a "very sweet" one, put some honey over them...
