The first thing that comes to mind is the old walled city of intramuros because of its history and efforts in the past years aiming to make it more attractive to tourists. The there are the malls and shopping centers like the SM Mall of Asia, Greenbelt at the Ayala Center etc. Off the beaten track, there's Chinatown and Binondo. I hear there are walking tours in the area and the food there's great. How bout you, what interesting places in Metro Manila do you have in mind? what are the spots worth visiting in the metro? what makes them interesting and something Filipinos can be proud of?

all sides of metro manila so you could experience both the good and bad things, hehe! well, i think all places have their nasty sides, right? well anyway, the only thing i like in binondo and the nearby chinese markets are the cheap products they sell as well as the buddhist temples though i haven't entered into any of it, but i just like looking at them. you can also check out angono, rizal. i don't know if it's still considered as part of metro manila but it does feature arts and artists of the filipinos. and if you're into clubbing and paryting, you can visit malate or libis, or greenbelt. and what else? i'll post again when i remember more! hehe!

Clamshell - exhibit, tiangge and shows of the Dept of Tourism. They feature different Regions of the Philippines every month (or every two months, idk) Hop on, hop off offers free ride to and from DOT Manila Office in Kalaw Must try tours: 1. Carlo Celdran Tours (see his website for tours in intramuros, manila walks, etc) he has very interesting insights about Manila. its definitely not your typical day tour. i recommend it eve for local Manileno. you will definitely see Manila in a different way. 2.
