my friend and i were talking the other day about her daughters birthday on friday.i asked her what they had got her she said her husband went out and got there daughter a tv for her birthday that cost £200.i think this is a bit much for a birthday present and more so when its so close to christmas.she agrees with me but her husband was determind to get it.needless to say it has caused a few arguements in the house.but im sure there daughter will enjoy it

My daughter is 5. She doesn't have a tv in her room. I know some kids do. She does have an old imac computer that can play the occasional dvd for her and her little friends. That way the adults can watch something besides CARS! lol The tv does sound pricey as a gift.

Theer is no problem with gifting a TV when You earn much...But it depends...if the guy doesn't earn much...then he may gift something else

I am not sure how much the cost was in US currency so I can not elaborate on the cost of the TV. My question is how old is the daughter? My son's birthday is on December 7, which is closer to Christmas, and I always got him a birthday present, sometimes they were a little costly sometimes not, it depended on what he may have requested and he also received Christmas presents. I didn't think he should be slighted because he happened to be born near Christmas. Just my opinion

she will be 11.but no matter when in the year the birthday is i wouldnt buy either of my daughters something that cost that much.id get it for them as an xmas present.yes i may seem tight.my sister did this sort of things for both her kids and they expect more and more each year and with the way prices are rising at the moment its becomming more difficult to afford these things
