Pampering Yourself

How much money a month do you spend just on pampering yourself and how do you pamper yourself. Some people go to the hair salon for cuts, styles and/or dyes, some go to the nail salon, the gym,the sauna or pool, they go and get a message or just go on a shopping spree and buy something you want.
With the economy the way it has been lately, do you still indulge in the act of pampering?

To add to what nadooa said in the post above, it depends on how much I feel like pampering myself.
Yeah, I have a $20/month gym membership cost, but I don't spend thousands of $$$ on personal gym assistants, or what not.
I do try and go to this fancy hair salon once a month, but even that only runs around $40-50/visit (because guy's don't have that much hair to deal with)
:)
I like to treat myself to new clothes every so often - say once every two-three months or so, while spending maybe $200-400. But I don't do that every day.
Yeah, yeah, "they" say the economy is bad right now, but luckily I'm in Houston, and Texas has been much more conservative during this "financial crisis," and we're no California, to say the least.
It's healthy to indulge in yourself every so often - do it. Be happy.

Thanks for the reply dxfanatic69, We do need to indulge in our selves every so often. We all basically work hard and we need to recognize ourselves for that. I make sure that my husband and I do that at least once a month and go out on a date. We dress up and go out to a nice dinner, a movie or what ever we think of. We take that time to pamper ourselves as a couple, that really helps both of us as a couple as well. To spend that little that we do is so worth it.
I also like the free pampering as well, home with a nice dinner, candles and a movie or whatever we can think of too. LOL.

I like to pamper myself at times, with hot chocolate or hot congee. These are wonderful things which are easy to have. Cheers!!

MMMMM I love hot chocolate, especially when it is cold outside. I am not sure what hot congee is though. I like to curl up on the couch with a nice warm blanket and a good hot cup of chocolate. That is a great way to pamper yourself. Thanks for your response.

I really don't pamper myself. Sometimes I will occasionally buy myself something that I've had my eye on for awhile, but generally I just don't do the whole pampering thing. I cut my own hair because it's expensive to get your hair cut. I think getting your nails done is crazy when I can do it myself without the scary paint and chemicals. I just like to go out and do a bit of shopping whenever I know I have some extra cash around.

Thanks for responding, highflyingxangel. It looks like you do actually pamper yourself at times. The little bit of spending you do is something you deserve for hard work and doing your own nails is a nice way to pamper yourself. It doesn't take money to make yourself feel good it just takes time spending on you and only you.

Well it depends if for a person to feel pampered they have to spend big bucks or not... myself when i want to feel good i sometimes don't spend a dime lol... heck at times i would just turn on some music light green apple candles and dress up for the heck of it... and just listen to the music and hum along while i write emails to my friends and family... basically i do something for me... without there needing to be a reason...
I pull my hair back and give myself a facial, or fill the tub with nice smelling bath soap and get in lol... it is sometimes the little things that a person does to make them self feel special lol... when i wanted to "pamper" my sister i straightened her hair, did her eye brows, gave her a facial, put some eye make-up for her... then made popcorn and hung out watching a funny movie... did i spend big bucks no? Am i cheap no i don't think so lol...
It is all in what YOU think spoiling yourself would take.

Thank-You for your response, Nadooa. I am very much like you, listen to music when I come home from work to relax. I like candles too, they are very soothing. It sounds like you and your sister are very lucky as well and I am sure she will pamper herself in the same way. A movie and some popcorn is a fun way to spoil yourselves. I like the simpler things in life and do not need to spend money. My nails are long and real, I don't paint them often only when dressing up. My hair is a little long and my sister-in-law will trim it just for the price of a visit.
